Software Tester – (Contract) Galway (closed)

Number of Software Tester are required for a well known company based in Galway.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on testing of applications written in C, C++, C# and Java in Windows/ Linux environments.
• Documentation including reviewing Functional Specifications, Detailed Design documents, Unit Test documents and contributing Test Specifications for Feature, System and Solutions Testing.
• Install and configure business products.
• Automate testing of applications.
• Design test case for specified functionality and quality, develop test scripts and incorporate into an automated test system.
• Detect software performance problems, report and work with development to provide a resolution.

Requirements:

• Interest in sizing, creating, writing and executing test plans for functional and/or system level testing Experience on a Linux / Windows cross-platform test environment
• Skills in debugging software
• S/W Design Principles delivered via an Agile process environment

Nice to have skills  

• Coding skills in C/C++, Java and C#
• Knowledge Desktop Virtualisation products such as VmWare View or Citrix XenDesktop / XenApp.

Educational Qualifications:

Degree in Computer science or in a similar field
