We are now seeking an Operations Engineer to join our amazing organization in Fort Worth, Texas. You will be part of a team that is responsible for a complete range of hosted services that include the telecom and banking industries. In this role, you will also be responsible for administration, operation, and support of various hosted applications in the service production environment. This is an opportunity to work with a global industry leader and to be able to perform a variety of functions.

In this role you will be:

• Monitoring that all systems are running smoothly and resolving issues that arise

• Installing and configuring of hosted services
• Data gathering and data provisioning of the solutions
• Provide investigation, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Maintain operations such as a planned event while upgrading and Patching solutions (integration)
• Technical support for Technical Account Manager
• Suggesting proposals  to Technical Account Manager to improve traffic time
• Data Analysis and Solution Tuning
• Support internal tool, (monitoring, stats, scheduling,…) deployment, and usage
• Manage communication with customer for calls, status, and update
• Follow-up escalated tickets to other Gemalto entities.

• Create or improve processes for operations

Requirements:

• Experience working in a UNIX and/or Linux environment
• Experience with Shell Scripting
• Working knowledge of basic networking concepts and web servers such as Apache and Tomcat
• Experience with SQL or P/SQL with Oracle databases
• Excellent communication skills
• Interested in learning and working with new IT and telecom protocols and standards
• Knowledge of programming in Java or XML a plus
• Bachelor’s in Computer, Systems, or Telecom Engineering
• 3-4 years relevant experience  in IT or telecom industry
