Position Overview

The Senior Sustaining Engineer controls the design, materials of construction, function, manufacture and operation of existing products as well as product line extensions/modifications that are required to meet customer needs.

Duties

Create and maintain design files for products assigned;

Convert customer needs into cost effective and profitable solutions

Work closely with Production to ensure product specifications are met and to assist in QA/QC issues;

Work with Sales to ensure the proper application/operation of products in the field;

Conduct failure/customer complaint analysis;

Assist with new product development/commercialization when needed.

Education and Experience

B.S. Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution (four-year college or university)

At least 5 years experience, including supervisory experience

IT Skills

Strong working knowledge of MS Office, GroupWise or similar e-mail system

Engineering and design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mathcad, etc.)

ERP software – MOVEX highly desirable
