Senior Mining Engineer- $85K with bonus structure and relocation package

BS degree in Mining Engineering or Geologic Engineering preferred

5 to 10 years experience

Strong background in Coal or Uranium or hard rock mining experience required

Direct knowledge with short and long range planning

Working experience with mine ventilation issues, ventilation modeling and environmental permitting

Experience with Radon Gas in the mines is a great addition

Responsible supporting all mining sites in Utah and Colorado so project management is needed

Able to manage, lead and coordinate with a team of 4 geologists, 2 surveyors, and 1 engineering tech

Experience in coal and rock mechanics

Strong technical background and field experience. This position will require the individual to be in the mine about 30% of the time.

Proficient in AutoCad, Vulcan, Geocom, SurfCad

Will report to the Chief Mining Engineer for the region

The client needs an energetic, dynamic and hardworking individual. The hours consist of 4/ 10hr shifts Monday-Friday so there will need to be flexibility with the working schedule. The company structure is great team environment but they also require their employees to work independently, be low maintenance and be motivated to be hands on. Needs to be able to handle a rural environment due to the locations of the mine sites and surrounding areas.
