Blackberry / J2ME Software Engineer

Our client, a well established company offering mobile enterprise platform is in need of a well rounded Mobile developer (J2ME) to work with multiple product development teams as well as interact with customers during requirements sessions.  Must have ability to design, code and test.  If you have a strong background in Mobile technology, please contact me at james.lockwood@rht.com.  Specific experience in other mobile devices will be considered

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or similar technical education
• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building applications using C#, Java, J2ME, Objective-C, or C++; strong OO design and development skills required
• 1+ years of experience with and a passion for the design and development of BlackBerry applications using Java with Eclipse or the BlackBerry JDE
• Experience with BlackBerry technologies and APIs including SQLite, Persistence API and creating custom UI and layout
• Knowledge of mobile application development best practices including data transfer, threading, and memory management
• Experience with system integration technologies including SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, and SQL preferred
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
