The Program Manager under direct supervision of the Global Head of Business Solutions responsible for all aspects of the Program including scope, timelines, resources, budget, risks and issues, relationships, and communications. The books of work will includes multiple concurrent initiatives that need to be managed and coordinated to meet the client expectations for an timely accurate delivery.
The Program Manager will interact with senior management on the business team to formulate and synthesize the strategic book of work. The role requires advanced communication and presentation skills. The Program manager will be required to facilitate meetings with senior leaders of the business and IT to drive consensus across all stakeholders.
Tasks / Responsibilities: • Manage the program to ensure high quality and timely delivery • Meet regularly with stakeholders to report status, arrange priorities and manage expectations. • Management of the Business Analysts assigned to the program, including direct management responsibilities • Facilitate the annual budget planning process and then track the financials through the year to ensure adherence to the agreed budget • Establish appropriate governance structures for the program and the associated projects, and facilitate the meetings where appropriate • Ensure strict adherence to the methodology and artifacts detailed in dbMethods • Work with the multiple Application Services domains to coordinate project delivery and strategic alignment • Work with external counterparties such as clients and prime brokers during the client on-boarding phase to facilitate the technology integration with their transaction activity • Guide any the Top 100 projects in the AFS space through the “Getting to Gold” process • Formulate long-term IT strategy for the business and structure the program and deliveries accordingly • Timely escalation of any risk or issues that may affect delivery • Manage the collection of global requirements from AFS service locations worldwide
Experience / Exposure (Recommended): • Minimum 7 – 10 years experience in Financial Services industry • Previous Program Management experience across large, complex programs with a track record of delivery • Previous experiences working with both development and client teams distributed globally across multiple locations • Strong understanding of technology best practices and industry standards • Proven track record of working effectively with vendors and consultants • Strong communication skills and presentation abilities • Understanding of the Alternative Funds space, and the service offerings of an administrator • Knowledge of various asset classes and instrument pricing approaches
Education / Certification (Recommended): • Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent diploma / work experience) • PMI Certification • Project Management (Bootcamp) Accreditation
