Job Description

Workway Professional Staffing, partnering with one of the largest independent, full-service title and escrow agencies, is seeking a QUALIFIED TITLE OFFICER

Recruiter: Shyan

Position: Title Officer

Location: Roseville, CA

Schedule: Standard business hours

Pay: $20.19 - $31.730/hr

Duties:

  • Reviews preliminary reports in connection with the processing of high liability requests to the underwriters
  • Assist in reviewing title searches
  • Ensure assigned files are ready to issue title policies by accurately assessing title concerns within guidelines provided
  • Evaluates risk in connection with the insurability of transactions and seeks the appropriate approvals (if necessary) in the closing of transactions
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of title insurance requirements, title search procedures and real estate closing practices
  • Maintain the highest level of Customer Service by knowledgeably answering queries or concerns when necessary via phone, fax and email, escalating issues when appropriate
  • Identify title issues that could affect the proper recordation of documents
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Interact effectively and professionally with management, clients and colleagues
  • Review the sufficiency and effect of documents, including court orders and bankruptcy filings as necessary, and report to Escrow Staff and customers, or seek the advice of senior underwriting personnel

 Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume title operation
  • Minimum of four years related experience and/or knowledge in escrow procedures, laws and regulations
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent and highly disciplined organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills are required

 Education:

 High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

 Qualified candidates must be able to:

  • Provide verifiable work history (names, addresses, phone numbers, accurate dates of employment)
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Successfully pass a county criminal background investigation
  • Provide detailed information for highest degree obtained (high school diploma, GED or college/university)
