Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • The Senior Manager, Market Access Planning & Submissions, reports to the Associate Director, Market Access and is responsible for developing the market access brand value story, strategy, plan and submissions for diabetes products, to ensure that our products are available to people with Diabetes across the country
  • Lead and work collaboratively with cross functional teams (Market Access, Medical, Legal & Brand Marketing) to prioritize and develop market access strategies. 

 KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Deliver an integrated brand market access plan (strategy, tactics, timelines) working closely with the cross-functional team and represent market access on marketing brand team
  • Prepare for each brand a compelling payer core value story, clinical summary & key messages (adapted from global dossier) for submissions, pipeline review presentations and other stakeholder engagements
  • Lead the cross-functional team in preparing reimbursement submission packages according to each jurisdiction’s requirements, secure internal approvals and meet deadlines for delivery
  • Lead engagement of key stake holders with advisory boards and consultant meetings to inform strategic approach & messaging
  • Monitor evolutions in public and private reimbursement policy environment. Assess and communicate short-term and long-term impact to NNCI business for the annual planning process
  • Ensure budget management tasks are managed according to internal procedures and deadlines

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business or Science
  • MBA is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry reimbursement, brand management and external affairs experience with demonstrated knowledge and experience current health policy arena
  • Ability to work effectively as a member and leader of a team with close collaboration with market access (global and local), and marketing colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate in French is an asset
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Manages business complexity by making and supporting timely, insightful decisions based on the best information available in order to drive the results
