Job Description

Position Title: Enterprise Systems Management Administrator FT X Hrs/Days: 40 Salary Recommendation: 90-110 Essential Functions: This position is for a Network Monitoring Administrator within the Network Operations Team. Under general direction, independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex monitoring systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to the Firm’s technology standards. Translates requirements into functional design and recommends monitoring solutions that enable the stability of the IT services Firm-wide. Tests, Pilots, debugs, and documents assignments of moderate to high complexity. Independently researches and resolves more complex technical problems. Will act as a top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of systems analysis and monitoring with strong business knowledge. Will serve as primary system support for three or more complex monitoring systems based on in-depth system knowledge. Automate processes utilizing various scripting languages Develop as-built documentation and standardized templates which outlines baseline configurations, as well as, for documentation, training and knowledge transfer Design and develop ESM operations and maintenance manuals Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Expertise in Design, Planning, Implementation, Support and Administrative aspects of Enterprise Monitoring Systems and other performance management products in Windows and Unix environments Must demonstrate excellent written communications skills by submitting sample project delivery documentation, such as As-Built, Operational or maintenance documents Ability to perform (on-call) support, and other duties as assigned Demonstrated expertise in Installing, Configuring, Administering Windows Server, SQL server, and. NET Framework Secondary expertise in at least one of the following: Windows server Operating Systems, clustering, Scripting eg VB or Powershell, Knowledge of the following would be advantageous: EMC IONONIX, SCOM Solution Accelerators, SNMP, NETFLOW, SCOM Connectors and the SCOM Connector Framework, and the model based architecture in SCOM 2007 Education: Associate's degree (A.A. ) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent Military IT Occupation Specialty and experience. Prior Experience Required: 3-4 Years experience designing, implementing and operating complex Enterprise Systems Management Solutions 3-4 years Business Analysis in Enterprise Systems Management 2-3 years Project Management 2-3 years UNIX Systems Administration experience 3-4 years Windows Systems Administration experience 3-4 years Shell scripting experience a plus (Perl, Korn, C, XML) Comments: Individual must be comfortable working in a very dynamic environment where priorities change quickly and requirements also often change as quickly and dramatically. Must be able to easily adapt to change.
