A leading lift specialist, they offer a broad range of crane and transportation services tailored to the particular demands of each individual project, be it industrial, commercial, infrastructure or residential.
We are currently looking for a dynamic and results driven Director, Sales & Marketing for our Saint John, New Brunswick location. In this key strategic role, the successful candidate will lead the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies by determining operational needs and building strong internal and external customer relationships.
As the ideal candidate for this new role, you are a seasoned engineering professional with a solid background in sales or business development. You thrive in a project based environment and have strong sales competencies. Working with customers such as large engineering firms and construction companies you have a proven track record for developing innovative and creative strategies to foster growth into new markets. You will ensure consistent, profitable revenue growth through strategic planning and flawless execution. You do not just meet targets, you exceed targets.
A hands-on, customer focused leader, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves when necessary. You possess exceptional interpersonal skills and have previously built high performance teams by attracting the most talented sales and marketing professionals. Reporting to the General Manager, you are responsible for developing a methodology that drives a sales culture throughout the company.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to foster growth into new markets
Create a high performance sales team to ensure all sales channels and industry sectors are pursued and serviced
Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings targets
Ensure sales operations are aligned in accordance with company objectives
Develop territory, market penetration, and sales execution strategies to consistently attain and exceed goals
Maintain contact with new and existing customers delivering detailed account strategies
Negotiate contract agreements terms and conditions
Maintain client database with up-to-date contact and activity details
A University degree with a concentration in engineering. A P.Eng designation is required and an MBA is an asset
Five to ten years experience in senior engineering and business development roles with a proven track record of exceeding growth targets
Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry with experience in heavy equipment sales or B2B sales is critical
Team oriented leader who motivates members to consistently exceed expectations
Possess finely tuned communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
