Job Description


The HR Generalist will have the primary responsibility to act as the single point of contact for employees with regards to all company provided benefits. You will provide knowledge, expertise and interpretation of Company benefit policies. Acting in a fiduciary capacity, respond to inquiries related to all benefit plans, provisions, policies and practices for employees. Conduct new hire benefits orientation and, as necessary, provides benefit separation counseling for separations and leaves of absences. You will also be involved in areas of Employee Relations related to the Annual Review process and policy questions. Additionally, you will support the Staffing functions as needed. 



  • Conduct new hire benefits orientation with all new hires after probationary period
  • Assist employees with transaction processing and forms completion
  • Answer inquiries from employees regarding benefits programs including leaves of absence
  • Monitor and manage all leaves of absence
  • Input all data electronically and manage cases
  • Assist in the resolution complaints and problems involving benefits

Employee Relations:

  • Annual review process administration
  • Employee communications
  • Employment verifications
  • Employee events coordination


  • Screen and recommend resumes for interview against open requisitions
  • Conduct phone interviews to qualify applicants
  • Assist in the processing of interviewees, to include applications and applicant testing



  • BA Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist with strong Benefits Administration 
  • A thorough understanding of Employee Benefit Plans; applicable laws and regulations as well as practical knowledge of disability programs and federal and state mandated leave programs is required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with a wide range of clients, individually and in groups
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and have the ability to exercise tact and discretionary judgment in day-to-day dealings
  • Must be able to handle and bring to closure multiple activities simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required
  • Experience in preparing and presenting benefit information to employees and management
