Employee Relations Consultant – Asia-Pacific

A diversified Financial Services company with a strong footprint in Asia Pacific is now looking for an Employee Relations Consultant to join their team. As a newly created role,  this person is required to manage and develop employee relations within the region.

Responsibilities:

• Providing consulting services on managing disciplinary and under-performance cases
• Advising on change management initiatives and projects
• Engaging Human Resources and line management in employee relations training
• Offering advice and expertise on acquisitions, engagement, culture-related issues, diversity initiatives and employee communications
• Handle any employee relations issues with regulators
• Managing any collectivization/union issues that arise
• Conduct employee relations assessment for various jurisdictions, analysing external political environments in the process

Requirements:

• Around 7-8 years experience with employee relations across APAC, covering multiple jurisdictions
• Experience dealing with employee/union conflict
• Strong business acumen and a detail-oriented, results-driven and self-motivated personality
• Expert strategic, analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential, as are presentation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at one time
• Excellent written and spoken English is a must, Cantonese and Mandarin advantageous
