Job Description:

General:

• Strong conceptual and technical  knowledge of the system z platform: what it can do and how it works: including LPAR, Parallel Sysplex, z/OS, WLM, IRD
• A sound understanding of System z architecture for high availability
•  A mix of both application design/development and infrastructure knowledge/experience
• Hands-on experience using both CICS web services and cics transaction gateway: concepts, application development and infrastructure configuration  (MUST HAVE)
• Infrastructure and application design for load-balancing transaction across multiple cics regions
• Full understanding cics facilities and features including the cics command level api (preferably at the cics 4.2 level) [MUST HAVE]
• CICS threadsafe concepts and experience
• DB2 subsystem and data sharing group concepts and technical knowledge (preferably at the db2 v10 level)
•  Application design for efficiency and concurrency
• DB2 remote access concepts and experience: including JDBC and .Net access  
• MQ infrastructure and concepts
• Knowledge and experience of the MQ api
• Application design for throughput and resiliency
• RACF concepts
• Securing cics and db2 remote access
• Kerberos solutions for z/OS
• Understanding of SMS and z/OS data access methods
