Credit Middle Office - Credit Officer (Up to VP), Bank (closed)
Our client, a major Japanese bank who employs more than 1000 employees in North America seeks a Credit Officer for their Middle Office for immediate hire. (Up to VP Level)
DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the management of credit process of the new business opportunities as well as the existing portfolio, including, but not limited to, initial review of new transactions, identifying and evaluating any potential risk factors, performing the financial and business risk analyses, making the recommendation to the management, preparing the application, and negotiating with the clients. Ability to understand company-provided financial statements, evaluates third party research for internal credit evaluations, review legal documents as well as prepare any proposal/presentation materials. The ability to find credit issues which would be critical for credit decision and the ability to resolve such issues by oneself by consulting with managers and colleagues. The position will also engage in internal process management, and review of applications from other groups in SCAD as well as credit administration.
EXPERIENCE: 8 - 10 years of credit/financial analysis/modeling experience required.
SKILLS: Strong communication skills. Strong analytical and writing skills.
Proficient PC skills. Must be a team player
This position will be located in the New York Office.
