Compliance Officer (closed)
The Merchant Banking/Real Estate division of this leading financial institution (MB/RE) is seeking a Temporary Compliance Officer to support and report to the MB/RE’s Chief Compliance Officer. The office is located in midtown Manhattan. This position is expected to run 6-12 months. Pay rate to be determined based on experience.
The ideal candidate will have four (4) to six (6) years of compliance experience, preferably in the context of investment adviser compliance. The primary responsibilities will be to assist with:
• annual compliance policies/procedures review;
• compliance monitoring and testing planning and implementation;
• preparation for regulatory inquiries and/or examinations;
• development and (electronic/in person) delivery of training programs;
• presentations to senior management and other constituencies within the firm;
• electronic communication of compliance updates to the business units; and
• preparation and/or coordination of regulatory filings (e.g., Form ADV)
Skills Required:
• Previous private investment fund compliance experience, private equity and real estate fund work a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proactive and able to work independently
• Strong organizational skills
• Highly analytical and detail oriented
• Strong relationship management skills
• Expert/ Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint,Word, SharePoint
