As a Storage Technical consultant or Technical Architect you can be a part of technology domain  e.g. IBM/HP/EMC.

You will be responsible to Design Storage/SAN Layout based on feedbacks  

Carry out Storage Assessments and recommend best practices to customers/

Master and Lead new Storage technology deployment across the region/

Implement niche and new solutions around all storage technologies/

Carry out Proof of Concepts of new Storage Architectures for Customers/

Interact (technically) closely with teams (WW Storage Development and Sales teams)  for enabling customers with better  solutions /

Interact closely with Presales teams for ensuring the best practices in a storage solution as and when required/

Be involved in Storage Optimizations and conduct Storage Consolidations/

Mentor other team members / 

Be responsible for designing, planning and delivering complex implementation plans / 

Designing and planning cross platform storage migration /

Carrying out perfomance analysis and suggesting remedial measures /

Conduct High end Enterprise storage based assessment /

Best practices based consultation workshops/ Plan & Deliver technical knowhow session to Customers/ 

Working on emerging  technical areas. This role involves interacting with clients directly and also working with multiple stake holders. Related knowledge on Applications like Databases and exposure to Unix and or Mainframe/MVS based Operating System will be an added advantage.

# 6 + Years of relevant experience on deep storage technologies preffered. Minimum 4 years

# 16 or more years of education required

# Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant Work Experience required

# Required Skills – Deep Technical skills in Storage & SAN Domains, Excellent communication skills,  and Non Technical Soft skills

# In depth knowledge of storage subsystems like IBM/EMC/HP Storage

# Experience in Performance Analysis and Tuning of storage subsystems is mandatory

# Experience in Storage data migration  techniques is important

# Storage Replication techniques including

# SAN switch deep knowledge base should include Brocade/IBM/CISCO switches & routers

# AIX/Unix/Linux/windows/MVS administration knowledge preferred

# Indepth knowledge of Storage Technology overall

# A Grade Communication Skills for customer facing role
