Job Description

We are seeking to hire a seasoned and accomplished individual located in the NYC metropolitan area to assist a Software Company in building and expanding in the Northeastern US (Washington D.C. and north) and Eastern Canada (primarily Montreal and Toronto) territories.  This position provides the opportunity for high visibility and financial reward to an individual who thrives in a competitive and changing environment and brings a solid track record of successful technical sales to major accounts.  While the focus is on enterprise software solution sales, the individual will be responsible for the strategy of expanding major accounts and working with system integrators and value added resellers, as necessary.

Due to the reality of being remotely located from the company headquarters, we are looking for individuals who have previously demonstrated success in an independent, autonomous and creative role(s).  At the same time, the individual must be a team player who can successfully partner with sales and support structure.  The sales individual will be fully responsible for their account ownership and the ultimate customer satisfaction.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

  • 10+ years of direct technical sales to the executive level
  • General knowledge of the space and direct knowledge of the customer base
  • Proven track record of growing the “footprint” within major accounts
  • Proven record of exceeding quota through “strategic” selling model
  • Comfort with presenting to the executive level
  • Ability to build strong customer and partner relationships
  • Technical acumen but the ability to articulate the value proposition
  • Ability to multi-task across customers, partners and territories
  • Excellent qualifying and closing skills
  • Bachelors degree or higher
