Director of Retail Operations, Eastern Division

 

Job Overview:

 

·       Assist the Vice President of Operations in managing and leading Regional, District, and Store managers to ensure company objectives are met and day-to-day operations of new and existing stores are supported thoroughly

·       This position will oversee the Eastern territories and operate out of the New York City office

Essential Functions:

·       Implement a merchandising policy in accordance with the mission and core values of the company

·       Identify and develop territory specific objectives and action plans to increase sales and payroll goals set by the company

·       Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly sales analysis

·       Expand brand recognition by building relationships with local entities, such as landlords, territory governments, other retailers, and charities

·       Develop a team of motivated associates by creating succession plans that ensure continuity and retention of top talent

·       Motivate and inspire direct reports and teams to ensure a positive learning environment and morale by implementing reward and recognition plans

·       Assist with Physical Inventory training and reconciliation

·       Ensure that Loss Prevention policies, systems, and procedures are implemented in all stores and that any discrepancies in stock inventory are timely investigated to minimize the risk of loss

·       Actively engage with corporate department managers from Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Data, Planning, Logistics, Legal, Loss Prevention, and Visual to continuously support territories

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

·       Must possess at least 10 years of experience in multi-store retail management

·       Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA a plus

·       Must be able to analyze, interpret, and evaluate reports in the fields of sales reporting, merchandise allocation, payroll, contracts, logistics, and employee relations

·       Must be a motivational leader and strategic thinker with strong retail operations and financial acumen

·       Must possess experience and/or certification in achieving high sales performance, coaching, and training employees

·       Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Working knowledge of POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required
