We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our GlobalBay division which is headquartered in NY and NJ. The location for the US Sales Representative is flexible, responsible telecommuters are welcome to apply. 


Job Title: Sales Representative


Position Summary:


VeriFone’s GlobalBay mobile retail solutions provide next-generation mobile retail software that significantly enhances retailer-to-consumer interaction. Its patented technology platform generates tangible ROI by driving store traffic, increasing units per transaction (UPTs), and improving the in-store consumer experience.


VeriFone’s holistic approach to mobile retailing leverages existing POS, e-commerce, and store systems and works cross-platform on all handheld devices including Apple, Windows, Android and Blackberry. Retailers deploying GlobalBay mobile solutions have the flexibility to choose their preferred back-end technology and mobile devices. Current customers include Coach, Guess Jeans, Timberland, True Religion, Crocs, Pacific Sunwear and other leading retailers.


We are looking for a seasoned Sales Representative that can drive sales in the central US region.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.


Knowledge & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales roles
  • Consistent track record of beating quotas
  • Ideally have a background in retail
  • Experienced in selling digital software solutions
  • Must be able to cold-call into contacts to generate leads
  • Proven track record of selling $50k+ deals
