Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION:
Deliver application programming support by developing, customizing and
integrating SAP business applications to meet company objectives within
global and regional parameters.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
.       Provide business analysis and programming expertise within the HR
and SD modules; for projects/evolutions, work with functional experts in the
analysis, design, and development of business applications.
.       Formulate and define application scope and objectives and
devise/modify procedures to solve business problems.
.       Develop and maintain application interfaces, reports, conversion
programs, and custom functionality.
.       Based on functional requirements from process experts, design, code,
test, debug, and document programs.
.       Provide support to Business Team for identification and resolution
of customization/configuration problems as well as errors in vendor
delivered code.
.       Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other
IT/IS departments (local and global) to ensure successful implementation and
support project efforts.
.       Regularly coach other project personnel from a development
perspective to ensure business application systems are developed in a way
that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and
practices.
.       Cross-train knowledge and techniques with other Application
Development Team members.
.       Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts,
anticipating, identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project
goals and implementing corrective actions.
.       Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT/IS
colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
.       Assume leadership role in project activities as needed to facilitate
business process improvement, identify and resolve problems, drive progress,
and facilitate removal of project roadblocks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
.       Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Computer
Information Systems.
.       Minimum of 7 to 10 years IT/IS experience including 3 to 5 years
working with SAP/R3 ABAP development language and related tools.   HR module
experience strongly preferred.  SD experience , is a plus.
.       Excellent project management skills; in-depth knowledge of SAP ABAP
Development Environment including SAPScript, Smart Forms, WorkFlow,
ALE/IDOC, Data Dictionary, Correction and Transport System, and other
Workbench Tools.  Adobe LiveCycle and NWDI are a plus.
.       SAP certifications, Oil and Gas Industry experience, is a plus.
.       A working knowledge of French is a plus
