Job Description:

5+ years of experience in the design and development of large scale enterprise class (scalable, distributed, redundant, multithreaded, mission critical) applications in a SaaS environment

 

Background in VoIP/Telecom application development: call manager, media server, voice gateway, IVR applications, call center applications, CTI applications etc.

 

Thorough understanding of VoIP protocols and rfcs such as SIP, RTP, SRTP, RTCP, RFC2833

 

 Thorough understanding of call processing models, designing call processing features and understanding call flows

 

 Experience working on open source VoIP Call Processing engines such as Kamailio, Trixbox, Asterisk, Freeswitch and/or commercial softswitch

 

  Working knowledge of Session Border Controllers, NAT traversal solutions, SIP gateways, SIP trunks/carriers

 

 Familiarity with text-to-speech and speech-to-text engines, voiceXML, and other media server architectures

 

 Familiarity with Java middleware architecture (J2EE, Hibernate/JPA, application server such as JBOSS) a plus.

 

Thorough understanding of Web Services using XML, JSON, SOAP/REST, JAX-WS

 

 Strong SQL skills and familiarity with JDBC, ODBC, stored procedures, RDBMS design.  Familiarity with Oracle 11g or MySQL a plus.

 

 Experience with network debugging tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, protocol sniffers etc.

 

Experience designing test cases for complex call scenarios as well as trouble shooting signaling and audio issues

 

Familiar with Agile development methodology and unit testing

 

Experience in cross functional team environments is required.
