Manual Test Manager – QA Department- XIV (STG-0500048)
Location: Tel Aviv, Azrieli center

Description:
The Manual Test Manager is one of the IBM XIV QA group leaders. The selected candidate will have the following main responsibilities:
•    Managing four different test teams qualifying XIV microcode and management tools
•    Becoming a technical leader within the team and the IBM XIV development organization
•    Collaborating with parallel test teams in China and the US
 
Requirements:

Candidates should have at least two years of experience in concurrently managing a minimum of two test teams working on enterprise-level software product(s), together with experience in the testing of integrated hardware-software products and experience in cross-team work and project management. At least two years of experience working in Linux environments are required. Candidates must have experience working on at least one large-scale (dozens of people) project along with excellent English skills, enabling them to conduct professional international conference calls. Experience in one or more of the following areas, is an advantage:

•    Leading / working with multi-national groups
•    Software development
•    Either direct testing of UI, Java, or GUI products, or implicitly through   using such tools to test other products
•    Writing Linux shell scripts
•    MS-Project or other project management tools
•    Storage administration and networking (SAN products, NAS products, hard-disks)
•    Automatic GUI testing tools (e.g., QTP)

Candidates must also have excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, such as testing, writing test plans and testing documents, STP, STD, and defect management. A good understanding of operating systems is also required. Knowledge of one or more of the following is an advantage:

•    Enterprise applications, such as VMWare, MS Exchange, MS-SQL, Oracle
•    Virtualization
•    Storage communication protocols (SCSI, iSCSI, Fiber Channel, SAS, etc.)
•    Official SW testing qualification (e.g., ISTQB)

Education:  
B.Sc. in computer science / electrical engineering; an M. Sc. / MBA is an advantage.
