Claims Assistant (Bilingual)

Hourly Pay Rate:

$12.00

Work Schedule:

7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. plus weekends and holidays

Start Date:

8/26/2012 Sunday -- 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for training first day only

Assignment Length:

TBD (will depend on catastrophe claims workload)

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing claims customer service and support to the Claims Organization. Employee works under close supervision.

 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

One or more of the following duties and responsibilities may apply:

  • Provides claims related support to the Claims Organization.
  • Establishes claim first notice of loss (FNOL) in Citizens policy systems.
  • Processes claim-related correspondence.
  • Provides Customer Service to Policyholders, Agents and various internal and external business partners.
  • Acts as a liaison to other business support units to assist with Customer requests.
  • Performs other tasks or special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 1 year Customer Service, Clerical or Administrative experience required. Insurance background a plus.
  • Advanced data entry skills with high level accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook Microsoft 2007 platforms.
  • Ability to work in image document system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, multi task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Adapt to workflow changes with minimal disruption in a high paced team environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED)
  • 1 or more years of customer service, clerical or administrative experience
