Senior Project Manager – Edinburgh
Turner & Townsend sees extensive emerging opportunities in the East of Scotland, and with the recent opening of our Aberdeen Office, is looking to grow the team operating out of Edinburgh and Aberdeen. A greater local presence is required in the north east, covering Aberdeen, Dundee, Angus, Perth & Kinross and potential involvement in opportunities in the Highlands & Islands region of Scotland. The appointee will probably have a home base north of the Firth of Tay, working a significant proportion of time out of the Aberdeen Office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful appointee will deliver high quality services to existing and new clients, but also pursue new opportunities and clients through effective business development efforts. The role will contribute to development of our presence and profile in the north east of Scotland enhancing the existing operational team in the region.
The successful appointee will deliver typical project management services, focussing on pre and post-construction services, including:
- Brief Development
- Procurement Strategy and Management
- Design Management
- Programme, Risk & Budget Control
- Contract Administration
The role will also include business development, bid preparation, client care, quality assurance, fees management and other business management activities as required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree qualified in a construction or property related subject (Engineer, Architect, Surveyor, etc). Professional qualification preferred but not essential.
- Previous Project Management experience likely to be required.
- Pre-construction experience essential (pure contracting CV is unlikely to satisfy requirements.
- Projects where the candidate has delivered simlar roles would ideally be greater than £5m.
