Business Analyst Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide business analysis support for New York based Groups Document current state processes and data flows Review current control environment and identify risks Perform root cause analysis of recurring errors, assess the risk and impact, and review alternatives for remediation Create business requirements for remediation areas Interface with other functional areas (e.g., Finance, Market Risk Operations), evaluating new requirements for grp Create business requirements for new processes for IT deliveries Work with IT to ensure clear understanding of business requirements Perform unit tests on IT deliverables and assist in UAT Maintain solid relationships with key internal stakeholders Escalate and manage critical issues to resolution Required Background Demonstrable project experience; must be able to work multiple long-dated deliverables / timelines effectively Structured, disciplined analysis approach Strong control mindset; audit experience preferred Working knowledge of financial services industry and financial products especially risk & p/l workflows Relationship builder and team player Ability to effectively manage and navigate through multi-faceted disciplines across the bank

Technical Knowledge Requirements:

Excellent MS Excel data analytics skills, including pivot tables, vlookups, etc. MS Office, Visio

Interpersonal Skill Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills will have interaction with senior technology and business managers Ability to operate at different levels (e.g. research/analysis, thought partnership with seniors, presentations, interactions with partners, etc)
