Job Description

Position Title          Product Design Engineer - NV #2274

 Relocation               Yes (but we need to stay regional so it is a close easy comfortable move)

Location                  Reno NV

Company is a major manufacturer of precision vises, circuit board holders, work holding tools and mini arbor presses.  They also design and manufacture mobile electronics mounts for hands-free kits, GPS units, satellite radio receivers, mobile video screens, two-way radios, and mobile data terminals.

They handle mounts for all types of products from security cameras to I-Pods.

Company is seeking a product design engineer.

Design and build products with a heavy emphasis on mobile phone, GPS receivers, Tablet (iPad) devises and action sports camera accessories. 

Plus CCTV camera mounts and work holding devises. Products are made out of injected molded plastic, die-castings, metal stampings and screw machine products. Experience in draft angles for injected molded plastic and or die-castings a major plus. Company uses Solid Works and Pro Engineer Software. Most have experience in one or the other.

Be able to work both solo on projects and with other team members on projects.

Must be an open minded, self-starter.

Prefer 5 plus years of experience.

Prefer degree in engineering, but not required.

Disciplined in document creation and control of work product. Work with sales and marketing department on selling specifications

Professional communication skills both written and spoken. Will interface with existing and new customers.

Either brings a laptop with examples of prior work or brings a CD and use company computer to display prior work to management and current engineering staff

Candidate needs to be a reasonable distance to Reno, Nevada. 

Relocation allowance is available base on skill set of candidate.

 

Bottom Line

1.  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

2.  Strong Solidworks experience.

3.  5 + years design of products made out of injected molded plastic, die-castings, metal stampings and screw machine products.

4.  Local to Reno or close enough to drive in for an interview and easily relocate there.
