Diversified chemical manufacturer and distributor in Salt Lake City looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager 
Seeking an experienced production and inventory control professional.  
Desired Qualifications
*           BS/BA degree in an applicable discipline.
*           Eight (8) or more years of directly related experience.
*           APICS certification preferred.
*           Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
*           Experience in direct management of employees.
Major Accountabilities
*           Achieve and maintain 95% inventory accuracy for our 8 warehouses.  Must have experience with cycle counting
*           Identify, monitor, track, and reduce non-moving and slow-moving inventory items company wide
*           Create standard operating procedures to improve the supply-chain and flow of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods.
*           Implement lean principles including 5S in areas of accountability.
*           Provide statistical analysis on previous sales histories and seasonal influences to create a target inventory that achieves a 95% service level efficiency.
*           Increase inventory turnover metrics and lower inventory investment company wide
*           Improve product handling efficiencies regarding physical storage and retrieval.
*           Advocate and promote cross-training in other warehouse and material handling functions.
*           Promote safety, safe work and environmentally sound practices.
*           Manage the Salt Lake City warehouse (including direct supervision of distribution specialists) and provide leadership to 7 other warehouses located throughout the country
*           Manage production planner - packaged goods (Salt Lake location)
*           Maintain a clean working environment and implement and enforce systems to reduce shipping errors
*           Conduct semi-annual physical counts
