QTP Architect    

 
Location: Denver, CO  

Duration:  6 + Months ( possible extension Up to 1+ Years )     

Job Description & Roles and Responsibilities :

            Automation architect – who has worked on QTP Automation Framework.

• experience in institutionalizing a Virtual Machine lab
• Risk based testing methodology
• experience in justifying automation ROI.
• Onsite offshore coordination
• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed; i.e., perform manual static testing.
• Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation
• Plan the delivery of the test scripts to be automated.  Create automated test scripts.
• Contribute to identifying the test scripts that could be automated; prioritize based on business needs
• Deliver automated scripts primarily using HP QuickTest Pro
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
• Identify and analyze suitable opportunities for test automation
• Work with Functional Analysts and client support group to ensure automation is working as required
• Provide leadership to junior Automation Analysts/Developers
• Assist the Test Manager in the creation of test project status reports and metrics (e.g., Test Dashboard).

Required Skills :

• Minimum of 3 years Quality Assurance and Testing experience
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Test Automation including planning, assessments, script development & maintenance
• Minimum of 4 year demonstrated experience in all of the following toolsets:
• HP Suite (Quality Center, Quick Test Pro)
• Selenium
• Bachelor's degree
• Demonstrated ability to implement testing best practices into the test planning and execution processes
• Demonstrated ability to conduct quality assurance assessments according to a documented methodology
• Experience in full software development life cycle
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
