Job Description
Position: Business Analyst
Location: Toronto
MUST HAVE security clearance to be considered for this role.
The Contractor’s proposed resource shall provide business process analysis services for CEODAS for the contract period.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the proposed resource shall provide an analysis of the CEODAS Designated Community (DC) which includes but is not limited to: assessing knowledge base; assessing data and metadata need in short and long term; assessing data access tools, interface; assessing data visualization requirements. The proposed resource shall also provide analysis on Canadian preserved EO data set content requirements which may include data from four satellite life cycle phases: pre-mission, mission implementation, mission operation and post-mission phase. The proposed resource shall produce required deliverables based on detailed analysis of best practices, lessons learned and international standards as relate to geospatial data. This work will be done in conjunction with the CEODAS development team.
Business Analyst Responsibilities
The Contractor’s proposed resource shall be responsible for performing, but is not limited to, the following activities:
Lead the detailed analysis and report on CEODASDC profile specification;
Lead the analysis and report of CEODAS LTDP preserved data set content requirements;
Lead the analysis and report on CEODAS Data Producers and producer parameters description;
Assist detailed analysis and report on CEODAS Management Authority profile;
Assist the detailed analysis and report on applicable GoC public and internal policies, guidelines and directives that govern CEODAS and derive requirements on CEODAS operation and management ;
Assist the detailed analysis and report of public and internal policy support required for CEODAS to be fully OAIS compliance;
Assist the detailed analysis and report of CEODAS LTDP Organization Infrastructure requirements;
Establish requirements gathering via meeting clients and detailed analysis of relevant international standards, lessons learned and best practices;
Perform detailed analysis applicability international standards and best practices;
Participate in meetings and conferences as required;
Ensure that project deliverables conform to the client’s development standards and provide guidance/instruction to other project team members as necessary to achieve quality assurance objectives;
Obtain CCRS sign-off.
