  Purpose:                 Assist with the daily operations of their backup environment and has the following skills to perform the following tasks:

                                 •  Planning and Design

                                 o Design, implement and support complex enterprise backup architectures

                                 §            Complex enterprise backup architectures are expected to include IBM TSM, EMC Data

                                 Domain, Physical Tape Libraries, EMC DPA, and the respective backup networks at a

                                 minimum

                                 o Participate in “Planning & Design” meetings/discussions

                                 §            Meetings/discussion may be performed directly with client or with client’s product

                                 vendors on their behalf

                                 o Perform forecasting for backup estate via existing tools

                                 §            TSM Server Resource Utilization Trending

                                 §            Data Domain Capacity Planning

                                 §            Tape Library Capacity Planning

                                 •  Advanced Troubleshooting and Auditing

                                 o Pro-actively monitor, investigate and address issues occurring in the backup

                                 environment. This task includes:

                                 §            TSM Server issues

                                 §            TSM Client issues

                                 §            Data Domain issues

                                 §            Tape Library issues

                                 §            DPA issues

                                 §            Backup Network issues

                                 o Perform audit reporting on the backup environment status, based on the results of

                                 pro-active monitoring and investigation of the environment

                                 •  Administration and Maintenance

                                 o Perform implementation and maintenance of TSM servers, related management

                                 software, and hardware. This tasks includes:

                                 §            Implementation and maintenance of TSM instances

                                 §            Implementation and maintenance of TSM clients

                                 §            Implementation and enforcement of backup standards

                                 §            Implementation and maintenance of Data Domain VTLs

                                 §            Implementation and maintenance of Tape Libraries

                                 §            Decommissioning and auditing of TSM instances

                                 §            Decommissioning of tape libraries (physical or virtual)

                                 §            Migration and auditing of TSM instances and/or clients

                                 §            Upgrade of TSM instances and/or clients
