Business Analyst (closed)
A well established company with offices on Mercer Island is adding 4 Business Analysts to the Project Management Office (PMO). As a Business Analyst you will serve as a liaison between the Business and IT to provide solutions to their business needs.
Understand customers? objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities.
Support users in building business case, including cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment, and project scope.
Perform impact analysis and support development of effort/cost estimates.
Develop and document functional specification.
Support application testing, implementation, and training activities.
Additionally you will perform impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system.
Define project scope.
Develop functional specifications.
Prepare Preliminary Systems Design document.
Understand customers? objectives, processes, and products in order to make educated recommendations.
Support the Application Subject Matter Experts in development of estimates / validation of suppliers? estimates.
Support application testing, implementation, and training activities.
Perform quality review checks on project deliverables. Support users in building Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope, and development of a high level plan.
Drive day-to-day prioritization of work on capabilities, working with business.
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
At least 1 year of professional experience as a Business Analyst.
Proven ability to work with business sponsors to develop clear business requirement.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Advanced skills in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
Project Management experience.
Knowledge of MS Project.
Proven ability to define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures.
Proven leadership skills.
Experience in insurance industry preferable Life Insurance.
Education Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent.
