We’ve Urgent requirement with one of our client for Senior PHP/My SQL Developer Job opening Location New York, NY 

Position Title: Senior PHP/My SQL Developer

Employment Type: permanent

Location: New York, NY 

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
• Understand and follow the agile development for SDLC.
• Planning & allocating work to the team.
• Communicate effectively with product manager and internal & offshore team members.
• Easily recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.
• Understand complex database concepts as well as the implications of different database designs.
• Maintaining historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
• Perform periodic code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
• Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond required training. 

Qualifications:

• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with any PHP based framework like Zend Framework, CakePHP or Symphony.
• Good to have Object Oriented Programming Skills (PHP5 ).
• Must write efficient code with documentation.
• Can read code written by others.
• Has experience debugging code.
• Must be a team player, possesses a good attitude and be self-disciplined.
• Understand and follow the agile development for SDLC.
• Ability to work in environment with offshore team. 

Requirements:

• 1-3 years’ experience developing code for standards-compliant, MVC web applications
• PHP5 (Object Oriented)
• MySQL 5.5
• Version control (SVN)
• XML, SOAP and REST standards
• XHTML/HTML5, CSS, Javascript
• Performing automated unit & functional Tests 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Linux OS shell environment and utilities
• Zend Framework Knowledge of JS libraries such as JQuery Continuous Integration
• Doctrine or any other ORM
