Job Title: Executive Director, Emergency Services (RN)

-       Current RN license required

-       BSN degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

-       Previous leadership experience required

Job Summary:

The Executive Director is an RN who has the authority and responsibility for the administration of the Emergency Department.  S/he will be responsible for defining and maintaining the standards of nursing practice and quality of care within the hospital and for the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures.  This position is responsible for coordinating, guiding, and monitoring the professional nursing practice and patient-centered care throughout the ER.  The Executive Director will work with other executives and leaders to make decisions that impact outcomes across all settings and various units and will maintain patient care standards that align with the hospital mission, vision, and values.  S/he will be responsible for directing educational, financial, staffing, equipment, and supply needs for the ER, will participate in professional organizations and activities to promote growth and development, and will ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and CMS.  Reports to the Senior Vice President and CNO.
