Overview:

This Histotechnologist position is with one of the largest, most sophisticated, state-of-the-art laboratories in the Northeast. Located in a new, state-of-the-art facility near Portland, ME. The facility covers over 25,000 square feet and consists of high-tech laboratory instrumentation equipped to accommodate robotics.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for preparing slides of human tissue for microscopic examination by embedding and cutting tissue, mounting them on slides and staining them with special dyes to make the details visible under the microscope.This position will also perform limited Immunohistochemistry duties that could include preparing slides and antibodies for loading on IHC stainers. Requirements:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Histotechnology is required.
• HT or HTL (ASCP) certification is required.

Compensation:

Hourly rate based on experience, full benefits and retirement plan.
