We are looking for an experienced, part time, dynamic, outpatient orthopedic manual Physical Therapist who wants to join our hospital based outpatient rehab team in WA. You will have the opportunity work with a great team of clinicians who are focused on achieving quality patient outcomes. This individual must demonstrate excellent clinical, communication and service excellence skills. This position also participates in the acute care weekend rotation. GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The global responsibility of this position and all positions within the Department of Rehabilitation Services is to search for any possible way to improve the comfort and satisfaction of the patients and employees at the Medical Center. As a part of this, all employees are responsible for seeking ways to improve our operation in any way. The physical therapist evaluates patients, and plans and implements an effective physical therapy program based upon physical assessment, sound judgment, and psychological sensitivity. Maintains a high level of professional expertise and assumes responsibility for professional growth and development. The practice of physical therapy requires in depth knowledge of human growth and development, human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, biomechanics of motion, manifestations of disease and trauma, normal and abnormal physiological responses, injury, disability, and ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic influences on an individual. Knowledge is essential in neurodevelopment and facilitation treatment techniques, neuromuscular re-education, cardiac monitoring, and in the theory and application of all physical therapy modalities. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: Eligible and licensed to practice physical therapy according to Washington State licensure laws. BLS certified through the American Heart Association EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Will accept applications from new graduates and experience therapists.
