Role: CNC Machinist
Salary: c. £24,000 - £27,000

CBSbutler have been retained by a high profile employer in the Hampshire/Berkshire borders region to source and recruit 20 CNC Machinists to join their CNC machining team.

Role: CNC Machinist
As CNC Machinist you will be responsible for:

+ Accountable for the production of high precision components that meet the required customer specification. This could be defined by sketches or engineering drawings and accompanied by route cards and/or process instructions
+ Accountable for safety start up checks of plant and equipment, ensuring that these are documented as required
+ Safe operation of machine tools and equipment
+ To ensure that responsibilities with regard to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards are met and understood
+ Contribute to Task Reviewing, involving Customer liaison
+ Design and manufacture tooling and fixtures as manufacturing aids
+ Participate in work planning and route card generation

Experience:
As CNC Machinist you will have experience of:

+ NVQ/City and Guilds Part II or Ordinary National Certificate qualified or having served a recognised working apprenticeship
+ Ability to fully understand engineering drawings and/or sketches, and able to comprehend and follow written procedures and/or work instructions associated with the job
+ Methodical Task Planning
+ A working knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work act
+ Experienced in the use of machine tools in the production of high precision components
+ CNC operation and programming experience desirable
+ Use of mechanical inspection equipment
