• Providing timely, accurate, and complete replies to inquiries from Field Sales and Product Managers
• While performing strictly within the price and standard margin policies, uses creative but sound judgement in relation to machine selection, estimates, competetive position, manufacturing capacity, and customer requirements
• Provides knowledgeable and helpful technical support to the efforts of Account Managers in proposals to customers
• Thoroughly understands contract requirements and converts them into company language in order to write-up
• Converts the contractual requirements into Engineering hours estimated to complete the contract
• Estimating cost of the contract to determin overall estimated profit margins
• Attends customer project meetings as necessary

Requirements & Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Engineering Discipline (preferably Mechanical)
• 5+ years of related experience as an Applications Engineer
• Account/project management experience
• Engineering/Technical sales experience
• Direct experience with API 617 and API 614 specifications strongly desired
• Experience with dry gas seal systems, hazardous area concepts, and power plant construction strongly desired
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, for successful interaction across multiple internal departments, with a broad range of personnel, as well as with customers, as necessary
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and juggle multiple reponsibilities/projects/duties/deadlines simultaneously
