Business Objects XI Administrator

(Minimum 8 to 10 Years overall experience, Minimum relevant experience 2 to 3 years)

Functional:

-          BO (Reporting & Analytics) Administrator / Architect

-          Excellent communication and presentation skills

-          Excellent analysis skills

-          BO Troubleshooting expert for production issues / enhancements (requires to get into ground level code details)with Client, Development team and BO-SAP vendor

-          Governs standards, guidelines and implement best practices for BO configuration, deployment, design & development and Support

-          Governs implementation and release schedule for the BO platform

-          Document and Review HLD, Owns Documentation and keep up standards and guidelines pertaining to Reporting and Analytics on BO platform

-          Coding / Priority Fixes on an Adhoc basis

Technical:

-          Must Have:

• Strong BO infrastructure knowledge
  • Expertise in BO installation and large deployment s
  • Experience in Clustered environment, Server Load balancing, Configuration for Load balancing, e.g. F5 switch configuration for BO servers and web-servers
  • Strong BO architecture knowledge of BO components like File services, Core BO services and related troubleshooting.
  • Experience in implementing Single sign-on, LDAP, AD, tools such as Siteminder, Wintella etc.
  • Configuration of Business objects with IBM Websphere, Tomcat
  • Deployment and maintenance of Universe, WebI, Crystal reports, OLAP Intelligence, Voyager, XCelcius
  • Strong Unix and Wintel environment experience
• Administration
  • Security implementation and governance
  • Strong Performance tuning experience (site relevant examples)
  • Enterprise reports scheduling and Automation
  • Server performance monitoring and load balancing
  • Audit reports using Audit database and automation of the same
  • Tickets and Issues resolution with SAP/BO support, IBM and any other third party vendors
• Business Objects XIR2/3 (Very strong reporting and Universe skills)
  • Universe designer (should be a universe expert and has enhanced and supported complex universes)
  • Web Intelligence (expert in creating business reports, has good understanding of thin and rich WebI client and features)
  • Crystal Reports(experience in creating state of the art BOXI crystal reports)
  • Experience in Live Office integration
  • Extensive experience on using QAWS (Query as Web Service) and Xcelcius integration
  • Experience in using BO - BI services
  • Basic knowledge of XCelcius dashboards
  • Have used dashboard designer
• Strong SQL/PLSQL
• Basic Experience in Java
• Excellent Data Modeling knowledge

-          Good to have:

• Insurance domain experience preferred
• BO XI portal integration kit
• XCelcius Flash scripting knowledge/ BO SDK knowledge for customization of Xcelcius controls
• Extensive Experience in Java
• OLAP Intelligence / Voyager (good to have)
• BO Metadata manager
• SQL Server SSIS / DTS / SSAS
• SAS SQL / Base knowledge
