Job Description

Sr. TIBCO Developer

Edmonton, AB

 

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The responsibilities for Senior TIBCO Developer may include, but are not limited to, any or all of the following activities:

 

a)  supporting the SOA architect who is currently managing, planning, designing, and implementing an enterprise SOA framework (including integration tools such as ESB), integration guidelines, and integration principles and policies;

b)  conferring with stakeholders, management, and technical staff to define objectives and milestones;

c)  guiding junior developers on the correct use of the integration backbone and SOA service design and implementation;

d)  supporting project teams on the SOA framework & governance and SOA solution design;

e)  working closely with stakeholders and team members to support the successful completion of initiatives;

f)   ensuring delivered integration solutions perform to user specifications and performance standards;

g)  delivering SOA projects on time and on budget;

h)  continually reviewing and suggesting improvements to the SOA implementation, processes, policies, and vision;

i)    exploring new and emerging technologies and leading the investigation and adaptation of beneficial SOA technologies and tools;

j)    monitoring and adapting plans in response to new ideas, technical challenges, or changes to business requirements;

k)  communicating project status to team members, stakeholders and management; and

l)    preparing reports and other documentation on the status and operation of the integration project.

 

DESIRABLE RESOURCE ATTRIBUTES

 

 

Mandatory Requirements

 

 

•     Minimum  of  5  years of  experience  as  a  TIBCO  Developer  using  TIBCO  technologies.

•     demonstrated  experience  as  Senior  TIBCO  Developer  as  described  by  the  above referenced General Responsibilities; and

 

 

 

 

Desirable Attributes

 

Vendors should demonstrate within their Proposals that the proposed Vendor Resource to be deployed in respect of the Project has the following knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:

 

a)  Proven track record in enterprise IT systems and specialist knowledge of SOA processes, frameworks, TIBCO technologies, products and implementation;

b)  Proven track record of working with:

o  TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™ Service Engine, version 5.9.2;

o  TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks™, version 5.9;

o  TIBCO Active Matrix® Service Grid, version 3.1.2;

o  TIBCO Rendezvous®, version 8.3.1;

o  TIBCO Runtime Agent™, version 5.7.1; and

o  EMS 6.0.1.

c)  experience developing SOA guidelines, policies and processes, and guiding design teams;

d)  excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively alongside business in implementing technology solutions;

e)  takes a focused approach to project implementation;

f)   ability to assess complex issues and quickly develop optimal solutions;

g)  proactively takes action to improve or mitigate a situation without waiting for explicit instructions;

h)  experience architecting, designing and implementing J2EE solutions, and .NET solutions;

i)    knowledge of enterprise-scale SDLC;

j)    ability to work within project budgets and schedules; and
