Job Description
Openings may include entry-level photo fundamentals, mid-level studio shooting and lighting, or advanced level portfolio. Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the online learning environment. Provide career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, diversity and ethics as well as personal and professional development.
- Classes may run multiple days and could include morning and evening classes
- Teach courses as assigned by the Dean of Education up to the maximum number of contact hours allowed by current accreditation
- Actively engage in retention activities including documented communication with both students and administration regarding attendance and progress
- Provide annual documentation of continuing professional growth
- Relate industry experience to learning
- Enables student exit competencies
- Documented expertise in academic subject area and expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by data sheet, diplomas, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes
Required Skills
- All candidates must be proficient in PhotoShop, Illustrator on the Macintosh platform
Required Experience
- Applicants must have MA, MS or MFA in photography
- Four-year’s work experience relevant to the field
- Two years teaching experience preferred
- Digital Photography instructor who can teach specialized studio classes such as Photojournalism, Portraiture, Commercial Photography, Food Photography
