Our direct utility client is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to act as a coordinator role in Orange, CT. This full time position calls for heavy documenting.
Four years business-related experience required. Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with all levels of management and non-management employees. Ability to effectively and accurately organize large quantities of critical information that affect multiple constituencies. Ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, other Divisions, and organizations outside the company, including customers. Ability to utilize analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and working as a team member.
Purpose:
Use administrative and technical knowledge and experience to assist and support management in meeting the objectives and responsibilities of the Division and to assist the team to achieve and exceed established goals.
Organize, compile, summarize and analyze data/statistics and produce a variety of reports. Update, maintain and ensure accuracy of computerized and other data.
Perform mathematical calculations and manipulate statistical data. Develop presentations and produce documents containing technical and/or legal terminology. Maintain confidentiality of all written documents and sensitive discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
Applies knowledge/skills to solve a range of moderately complex activities including new or unusual assignments within own area and responds to inquiries from others; solve moderately complex problems including new or unusual assignments.
Edits and coordinates project management reference manual topics, prepares and edits Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Weekly Reminder. Documentation of TO PMO standards and subsequent communications. Assist in the implementation of Document Mgmt for PMO
Works with moderate supervision/guidance; accountable for individual results and impact on team.
Participates in the design of project management process including the preparation of process flow charts, work instructions and training documentation. Works on management special initiative teams.
Understands stakeholder needs and identifies solutions to non-standard requests; prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed upon deadlines.
Technical writing preparing and/or editing (including Project Management (PM) standards and guidelines, project documentation, presentations and document retention, updates to the TDPMO and assists the PM of Public Outreach.
Contributes to achievement of team goals; promotes teamwork with others.
Coordinates the completion of project management reference manual topics as outlined on BSC. Assists in preparation of Sr. Management report regarding PM initiatives as outlined in Steering group meetings and on BSC.
Posses full knowledge and skills of associated position; may still be acquiring specialized level skills.
Coordinates PM postings regarding reference manual, Senior Management Report and other PMO initiatives, assists with communication and permitting efforts regarding PMO.
