Things you should know:
- Responsible for all aspects credit & collection policies for current and future jurisdictions in which Just Energy has exposure to credit risk, including implementation, and maintenance of new and existing collection projects
- Manage the bad debt exposure for such markets
- Manage the administrative access for various credit and collections vendor systems.
Key accountabilities:
- Plan and implement small to large scale projects, including new market launches
- Work with project team members to create and execute detailed project plans
- Manage and Perform detailed credit adjudication with complete Financial Statement Analysis in all North American Markets
- Maintenance of policies and procedures for current and future jurisdictions in which there is a credit risk, including implementation, and maintenance of new and existing Credit & Collection projects
- Develop, evaluate, implement and document new processes to enhance current and new procedures
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for A/R, develop, test and implement internal controls for A/R; ensure high quality standards are met and recommend and implement productivity improvements
- Develop approaches to resolve AR / collection issues in POR jurisdictions (exit fees) Analyze, monitor and provide reporting for bad debts and write-offs
The ideal person:
- 3 plus years management experience in a Credit and Collections environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving & time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
- Results oriented
- Able to keep up with a past faced environment
- Proficient with Excel (Vlook up and Pivot Table), Word, Visio, SQL
- Experience with energy commodity an asset
