Job Description
Leading independent petrochemical manufacturing company is looking for a Project/Maintenance Controller to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Logistics or Materials Management/Distribution and 5+ years Project Budget/Cost management and Control experience in a manufacturing facility. The job scope, duties and related tasks include:
Operations, Maintenance Cost Control
- Capital Projects
- Performs periodic forecasting/reporting of cost information
- Requisitions/invoice validation
- Analyze commitments vs. forecast
- Participate in monthly accounting close process - accruals/cash flow
- Coordinate capital project activities as necessary
- Maintain AFE's and Change Orders
- Prepare summaries of Capital Projects Actual vs. Budgeted and forecast for monthly management review
- Participate in monthly discussions regarding project status with Corporate Accounting and Finance.
- Maintenance
- Analyze actual spending vs. budget
- Analyze contract labor costs and track contractor labor hours.
- Develop average rates for estimating
- Participate in monthly accounting close process - accruals
- Shut-downs/Turnarounds
- Estimates, daily cost tracking, forecast
- Analyze contract labor costs and track contractor labor hours.
- Yearly budget forecasting/planning
- GL code validation/corrections
- Accounting/Financial/IT
- Special projects/assignments as required
- Provides forecasts to financial group in relation to projects and maintenance.
Document Control
- Provides oversight and support to the Document Control department
- Ensures document control system integrity.
