Director of Ad Operations (Online Advertising/DFP) - Greater Boston, MA (closed)
Our client, a fast growing and profitable marketing services company, has engaged CareerEncore (www.careerencore.com) to conduct a search for a Director, Advertising Operations to join their Marketing team focused on a their new web property, as startup within the larger company.
The Advertising Operations Director is responsible for launching, managing and growing all advertising products with the goals of increasing advertiser value and driving revenue growth. The Ad Ops Director will work closely with the Client Management, Research, Analytics, IT and Online Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of all advertising solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Drive innovation through development of new ad product offerings that maximize the value to our advertisers, and the relevancy to moving consumers
• Use Doubleclick’s DFP to test, traffic and optimize online ad campaigns
• Build the advertising program from the ground up, including hiring and leading a team to support the program
• Collaborate with Client Management team to create custom proposals, setup and launch campaigns, measure performance, report results and make adjustments based on findings
• Be an expert in advanced Ad Operations and yield management solutions, educate management on the solutions and implement as required for optimal results
• Manage our remarketing ad product and supporting partnerships
• Oversee updates of online rate card and “advertising” section of Web site
• Work directly with agency partners on client needs
Qualifications:
• 6 to 8 years experience (minimum of four years in the online advertising space)
• Experience with online marketing business models - CPM, CPC and CPA
• Deep technical understanding of how data, cookies and remarketing work
• Video and mobile application experience on iOS and Android is ideal, but not required
• Demand-Side Platform (DSP) is ideal, but not required
• Experience using 1st and 3rd party data for campaign optimization and targeting
• Expertise in privacy regulations and best practices, e.g. ad choices, IAB
Skills:
• Experience with solution providers like Turn, MediaMath, Google and AppNexus
• Understanding of basic web technology including cookies, flash, image formats and HTML
• Hands-on experience with DART and other ad serving providers
• Familiarity with Google Analytics
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience using image editing software helpful (Photoshop, Snagit)
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that is developing and growing quickly
