Job Description:

 

OpsAir™ (developed by IHS, a 3rd party vendor), is an emissions reporting software suite and a core component of Environmental Management Information Systems (EMIS). EMIS is a comprehensive suite of software applications to manage environmental compliance activities, calculate complex mathematical algorithms to determine emissions, notify personnel of deviations, allow for simple data input, and remind users of tasks, which require completion.
EMIS is an INTRANET-based solution where environmental coordinators across the company’s network access a centralized integrated environmental system for data retrieval, reporting, and compliance assurance. OpsAir was originally implemented by a third party integrator. Over time, more models have been added without documentation. Company is now replacing dependent systems and requires a comprehensive analysis and documentation of the functions and data dependencies within each of the models. Specific Duties You will work with a systems analyst in the Corporate Environmental group as well as others across network to conduct a system audit of OpsAir. You will analyze how each Model is constructed and document the following information: Purpose of each object List and function served by variables and calculations assigned to each object Database tables referenced by each object Entity-relationship diagrams

 

 

 

The responsibilities for this position will be:

 

Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor

 

Analyze several OpsAir Models and document the functionality and data dependencies of all its objects Confer with the Corporate Environmental systems specialist on findings Recommend changes to improve the accuracy and functionality of each model Communicate the findings and recommendation to a team of employee owners of each model

 

Qualification Needed: Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, related field or equivalent experience (Required) 5-7 years of experience (Minimum) More than 2 years of working with OpsAir (Required) Intermediate or advanced knowledge of the OpsAir and OpsInfo applications (Required) Knowledge of techniques and principles in creation of Ops models (Required) Proven analytical and problem-solving skills (Required) Demonstrated ability to analyze an existing application and understand how it works (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel (Required) Ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)
