Position Summary
|
Lead the development and maintenance of on-going network supply and capacity plans. The plans will be transferred to the Plant Schedulers in weekly and/or monthly requirements for assigned supply networks.
Will utilize SAP planning tools and supporting processes (SNP) to drive network strategy.
Ownership of the supply planning process with the cross-functional team to meet/exceed customer service, working capital and cost targets. Focus on lowest total delivered cost solutions.
Major contributor to Core Teams on OBD/PMO projects involving New Product Introductions and Transitions.

Responsible for translating the weekly requirements plan from the Network Supply Planner into short term production plans for assigned facility(ies), using PP/DS.
Must engage with plant Material Planner to reconcile any gaps in schedule and material availability.
Act as liaison between Network Planner, Plant Operations and Replenishment Planner, balancing inventory needs vs. operational execution.

Responsible for the positioning and movement of finished goods for their respective plant network(s).
Use of SAP deployment tools and supporting processes will be required (TLB and Load Factor Optimizer).
Responsible for delivering service, transportation cost, and CD3 management metrics.

Position Responsibilities
|
- Generate weekly/monthly production and capacity plans using designated tools and processes that support the organization’s goals.
- Maintain data integrity in SP systems to facilitate efficient inventory and capacity management, customer service, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with Demand Planning, Scheduler, and Replenishment Planning to translate S&OP forecasts to SKU-DC level supply plans.
- Responsible for monthly IBP production planning process through Supply Reviews.
- Ensure successful ‘Event’ execution by utilizing effective planning processes, system set-up, and communication with the cross functional teams.
- Utilize ConAgra systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues.
- Maintain, review and update all monthly inputs used to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.
- Lead or be active team participant on special projects as required.
- Provide backup and support for other Supply Chain functions, as assigned. Maintain competency in all supply chain processes and systems.
- Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets. Review production performance and update planning rates to accurately reflect plant capabilities and available capacity.
- Coach peers in network and other networks on business process and system best practices.
- Plant network travel.

- Generate daily production schedules using designated tools and processes that are consistent with total delivered costs.
- Set-up and maintain data to facilitate the creation of weekly, line-level production schedules that delivery customer service and operational metrics.
- Monitor weekly and monthly metrics vs. established targets. Review production performance and update planning rates to facilitate capacity analyses. This includes calendar and master data maintenance related to planning.
- Collaborate with Replenishment Planner to deliver product at lowest TDC.
- Assist Network Planner by utilizing ConAgra systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues.
- Proactively communicate potential problems or issues impacting the business by maintaining the Product Supply Update, cut reason tool, ConAgra Alert Distressed Inventory tool, as well as other systems.
- Lead or be active team participant on special projects as required.
- Provide backup and support for other Supply Chain functions, as assigned. Maintain competency in all supply chain processes and systems.
- Support IBP planning process for designated brands/plants.
- Manage metrics and adjust schedules as needed to support changes in demand, supply, etc.
- Maintain, review and update inputs monthly used to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.

- Position and maintain finished goods inventories, in such a way to balance customer fill rate, inventory carrying costs and optimal transportation spend. Utilize the related planning systems to support the inventory planning and positioning function.
- Proactively communicate potential problems or issues impacting the business by maintaining the Product Supply Update, cut reason tool, ConAgra Alert Distressed Inventory tool, as well as other systems.
- Ensure successful ‘Event’ execution by utilizing effective planning
- Minimize transportation costs by managing freight mode, load factors, redeployment, opportunistic direct plant shipments and direct line deployment for assigned products while achieving service level goals.
- Responsible for identifying, communicating and, if possible, resolving problems associated with inventory that is approaching shelf life, slow moving, discontinued or requiring special disposition to maximize our return in a timely manner.
- Maintain, review and update inputs monthly used to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.
- Lead or be active team participant on special projects as required.
- Provide backup and support for other Supply Chain functions, as assigned. Maintain competency in all supply chain processes and systems.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in and/or exposure to S&OP processes and procedures, customer planning and / or supply planning
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in production planning, detailed scheduling, replenishment planning, demand planning or materials management.
- Experience with supply planning software. SAP experience preferred, SAP APO experience a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data to draw valid conclusions.
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills
- Travel (10% - 15%)
