Role: Hadoop Admin

Location: Phoenix, AZ (non locals are ok).
Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Rate: Open and negotiable

Experience and Skills:

Hadoop Administrator (Sys Admin): Some who has good experience managing Hadoop Cluster. System Administrator with good operations and troubleshooting experience in Hadoop clusters is the key.

Administer and support Hadoop clusters. 
Analyze system and application architecture to ensure that all functional and non:functional requirements. 
Evaluate and select tools and technologies needed for efficient support of the systems. 
Know common maintenance, installation Jobs. 
Monitor cluster job performance and capacity planning. 
Collaborate with cross: functional teams to ensure that applications are properly tested, configured, and deployed. 
Adapt configuration management tools for the needs of the Operations teams. 
Excellent knowledge of Hadoop architecture and administration and support
Proficient in Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems. 
Proficient in Python(desirable) and shell scripting . 
Strong knowledge of networking 
Ability to learn, apply and explain new tools and technologies quickly. 
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
