Business Development / Software Professional Services Consulting Sales – Oracle FMW – US Nationwide – Resume to mc.didone@oracle.com

 

Drive and motivation to sell Oracle Technical Consulting Professional services full-time. 

This is a direct sales role.

 

This is a senior level role, comparable to a seasoned Sr. Manager/Associate Partner in the big five model.

 

Oracle North American Consulting (NAC) works with our customers to help develop and execute Oracle technology based business solutions.  This individual contributor position is expected to work effectively with Oracle License Regional Managers and Sales Reps, Oracle Consulting Regional Geography Leads and senior level client executives covering all industries as a 'trusted advisor' on Oracle technical solutions and services.   

 

Responsibilities:

 

Selling consulting professional services around Oracle solutions such including but not limited to:

  • Oracle Fusion Middleware / FMW - such as Oracle Service Oriented Architecture development & integrations, Java development, etc.
  • E2.0: Oracle Portal & Content Management projects including Oracle Portal, Oracle Content Management and FatWire

 

This is a TECHNICAL consulting professional services sales opportunity and therefore we do NOT sell managed services or application services such as ERP implementations, HR implementations, etc.

 

Our technical consulting sales reps will sell multi-million dollar project based deals in the aforementioned technical areas (see above).

 

The successful technical consulting sales rep will successfully carry and achieve a $5M annual quota.

 

Our technical consulting sales reps will be aligned to a group or groups within our Licenses sales organization and therefore territories will be defined and mapped based on license alignments.

 

The selected candidate will be assigned a targeted account type, a geographic territory, pipeline targets and a bookings quota for the market.

 

In addition to Key Performance Indicators (KPI) associated with the earlier responsibilities, the selected candidate will be expected to meet key proactive metrics for driving solutions sales and increasing pipeline.

 

This is a senior level role, comparable to a seasoned Sr. Manager/Associate Partner in the big five model. 

 

Mandatory knowledge / experience:

 

Quota:

 

  • Expected to have carried, and be paid variable comp on a personal (not group) quota attainment.
  • Need to demonstrate (and be able to prove if offered) at least 95% attainment on a consistent basis (at least 3 consecutive years, and must be recent history)
  • Commission history - MBO or discretionary bonus not acceptable

 

Direct Sales Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a direct field sales role
  • IT Sales for a solutions consulting organization in the areas outlined above
  • Oracle technology product knowledge a MUST!

 

Practical Sales Knowledge & Experience:

 

The successful candidate must demonstrate that they understand and practice the following traits:

  • Territory Management & account planning
    • Ability to segment a market/territory
    • Ability to define sales & demand generation strategies in each of the target market segments
    • Ability to prospect to generate leads in each of the market segments
    • In-depth knowledge of driving the entire sales cycle, including:
      • Ability to qualify a customer and opportunity
      • Ability to assemble and leverage the pursuit team while keeping control of the deal
      • Ability orchestrate discovery meetings and link solutions to customer pain points (Consultative Selling / Value Selling)
      • Ability to structure a winning presentation
      • Presentation skills – customer solutions
      • Ability to drive relationships with procurement/vendor management to negotiate terms pricing
      • Ability to manage to a close plan
      • Ability to forecast accurate numbers
      • MUST have experience negotiated contract terms & conditions

 

100% Mon – Thurs/Fri travel.
