Voice Network Engineer (closed)
General Responsibilities
The incumbent's basic function is to implement and support unified communications and contact center technologies that maintain the efficiency and security of the communications network. Leading projects that accomplish improved functionality and security of the unified communication and contact center network infrastructure make up much of the incumbent's assigned projects. The position is responsible for implementing and upgrading new network infrastructure components and troubleshooting problems therein. The position assists the Network Architect in the ongoing maintenance of corporate network installations, upgrades and network services. Other key responsibilities include server upgrades, and data circuit installation. This position also provides Level III technical support for unified communication and contact center network troubleshooting.
Qualifications
1.Bachelor degree and 3 years' experience supporting unified communications and/or contact center platforms or 7 years' experience supporting unified communications and/or contact center platforms and a CVOICE, CCNP or industry equivalent certification
2.Experience in multi-site networking implementation and maintenance
3.Experience troubleshooting problems within the network infrastructure
4.Experience in a position exercising independent judgment and decision-making
5.Experience managing multiple projects with various priorities
6.Experience interacting with all levels of staff internal and external
7.Proficiency with Visio and Microsoft Office applications
8.Ability to travel overnight up to 15% of the time across the nation
Preferred Qualifications
1.Familiarity with Microsoft Server software
2.Familiarity with Server Virtualization solutions
3.Experience Supporting Contact Center technologies
4.Circuit provisioning and call routing
5.Familiarity with MS Lync
6.Excellent verbal and written communications skills
7.Experience with SIP
8.Experience supporting Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection and Cisco Unified Presence
