Job Description

Our client, located in Horsham, PA is seeking a Cyberlife Design Developer for an immediate full-time position.  Details include:

 

Primary Function:

 

Provide application programming and design to implement new and improved life and annuity products. This position requires knowledge of Cyberlife processing including VP/MS calls and calculations. This role will be a key agent in providing ongoing day to day support to our Business Partners, as determined by their prioritized needs. This role is responsible for the translation of functional requirements into technology solutions with a constant focus on business process improvement and product development.

 

Resonsiblities:

-Perform technical analysis of functional specifications and requirements.

-Create technical requirement and design specifications.

-Review and validate calculation models (Excel, VP/MS, etc) for life and annuity products.

-Design, test, and implement customized code within Cyberlife for life and annuity products.

-Uses effective influencing skills to share expertise and mentor others

-Identify and recommend improvement opportunities in methods of modular code design, calculation, testing and implementation

-Participate in the design, documentation, development and testing of New Products on the Cyberlife platform.

-Support Model Office activities, including the setup and initialization of new environments and the resolution of data, process and application issues as they arise.

 

Qualifications:

-7+ years of professional Information Technology experience.

-Ability to problem solve for design and debugging of product models, and good data analysis and software testing skills to test modifications and enhancements.

-Strong customer focus.

-Strong understanding of VP/MS processing.

-Strong Cyberlife product design skills.

-Proven ability to collaborate, build relationships and resolve conflicts across organizations.

-Ability to make decisions, plan, multi-task and prioritize work towards the achievement of personal and corporate objectives

-Solid communication skills - verbal and written

-Strong knowledge of insurance products and operations.

-Bachelors or higher-level degree in Information Technology or related discipline.

-Strong and proven analysis, judgment, decision making, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills working in an autonomous and proactive manner.

-Strong communicator and relationship builder with all levels of the organization, and ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical business colleagues.

-Passion and demonstrated ability for continuous process improvement.

-Proven expert knowledge and 7+ years of current hands on application development experience, supporting Mainframe Life Insurance applications. Experience working with CSC's Cyberlife system is required. Knowledge of other related CSC Products (NBA, PA and AWD) is a plus.

-Ability to independently research, identify and resolve complex Life Insurance related processing and data issues.

-Required expert-level application development skills: CICS, COBOL, VSAM, Mainframe (TSO/ISPF/JCL/Xpediter) processing. A working knowledge of Java/Websphere/ACORD/XML/Unix/Oracle would be a plus.

-Solid knowledge of, and experience in, source code and change management processes and concepts.

-Strong Business knowledge of Life Insurance and annuity processing concepts.
